What is it about?
Co-additive selection that enhances nucleation performance of homo polypropylene without additional the use of higher concentration of nucleating agent can be realized by ensuring good dispersion of the nucleating agent. Coating of the dispersion agent has a better effect than just dry blending it into the polypropylene

Why is it important?
Improved nucleation has been shown to lead to lower haze (hence improved clarity), improved cycle time, void reduction as well as improved in physical and mechanical properties
Perspectives
Traditional methods of improving nucleation include the combination of 2 or more existing nucleators, but the current publication uses a non-nucleating co-additive that was able to deliver far better results than any other combination of nucleators for polypropylene
