What is it about?
Nearly 1500 teachers from all 50 States completed a survey describing their use of the IEP, their teaching practices, their engagement with families and how they are evaluated as teachers by administrators. They identified the most important supports they need to be successful teachers.

This information can identify ways to support special education teachers better, to look at special education within the context of general education and the critical nature of collaboration for meeting the needs of children with disabilities in school

This study helps to set future plans for practice, policy and professional development to support and improve the quality and conditions of teaching within special education.
