What is it about?

Coir (Coconut fibres) are verz strong but difficult to process. The ability to process them could be increased by combining coir fibres with hemp or flax for automotive applications.

Why is it important?

Coir is a by-product of the coconut industry and in many places a waste. Creating a market pull for coir would bring income to remote regions and value to a resource that is thrown away.

Perspectives

The research is a continuation of former work and must be continued with a concrete application to scale up it's applicability.
