Why is it important?

This manuscript sheds new light on the existing manuscript stemma, revealing a new subgroup of Prose Latin Bruts that relate most closely to the English "New Chronicles" prose Brut group (this witness is one of these).

Perspectives

I encountered this manuscript during a three month placement at Downside Abbey's library and archive. There are doubtless many more important discoveries at Downside waiting to be made.
