What is it about?
Improving our understanding of factors associated with suicidal ideation and behavior for individuals in pretrial jail detention is critical for suicide prevention and intervention development. The aim of this study was to identify associations between suicidal behavior and socio-demographic and clinical characteristics for pretrial jail detainees. The findings from the proposed research have the potential to inform future suicide interventions and clinical decision-making for individuals who have passed through the justice system.
