State-Level Variation in Racial-Ethnic Disparities in Access to Children’s Mental Health Care

What is it about?

Drawing on state and nationally representative survey data, this study examined state variation in racial and ethnic differences in children’s mental health care access. Differences varied greatly across states, ranging from whites reporting greater access difficulties and unmet need than Black and Hispanic children in some states, and the reverse in other states.
