What is it about?
College students have difficulty with access to medical and psychiatric care because they move frequently throughout the year between their childhood home, college campus, summer internship, and other opportunities. Moving across state lines can disrupt students' medical and psychiatric care because doctors are required to be licensed in the state where the patient is located. However, many states have exemptions to the requirement for a license but doctors may not be are aware of the licensure exemptions.
