National Trends and Disparities in Suicidal Ideation, Attempts, and Health Care Utilization Among U.S. Adults

What is it about?

This new research uses data from the 2015-2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health to generate nationally representative estimates of trends and disparities in suicidal ideation and suicide attempts across a comprehensive set of sociodemographic, behavioral, and clinical characteristics. The research further examines trends in general and mental healthcare utilization to identify opportunities for clinical intervention and policy development.
