What is it about?

This paper provides a review of the literature on psychiatric medication prescribing in 'low-threshold' outpatient settings, or settings such as street medicine, urgent care, crisis care, bridge/transition clinics, walk-in clinics, and shelter clinics. The authors summarize considerations for prescribing medications in these settings. There is an urgent need for research and guideline development to delineate best practice prescribing in low-threshold settings.
