What is it about?

In some hospitals, security officers can be called to inpatient psychiatry units to help staff manage aggressive patients. This study describes patient behaviors associated with security calls, and the timing of security calls. Individual patient characteristics associated with security calls were: more than one prior hospitalization, involuntary hospitalization, and going to court.
