What is it about?
This study explored anger levels and personality traits in people with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) compared to healthy individuals. It included 73 FND patients and 43 healthy controls, who completed surveys measuring anger and personality traits. The results showed that FND patients had higher immediate anger levels (State Anger) and scored higher on certain personality traits like Negative Affectivity, Disinhibition, Detachment, and Psychoticism. Additionally, FND patients reported more childhood anger outbursts. The findings suggest that anger regulation and personality traits are important in understanding and treating FND.
