What is it about?

Mild traumatic brain injury or concussion is a significant public health concern and a paradigmatic neuropsychiatric disorder. This study describes the methods of the 2nd phase of the Concussion Assessment, Research, & Education (CARE) Study, a longitudinal cohort study designed to characterize the cumulative and persistent effects of concussion and repetitive head impact exposure in a cohort of over 50,000 collegiate athletes and military service academy members.
