What is it about?

Primary polydipsia, or excessive water drinking, is a poorly understood but potentially deadly condition. The medical literature often attributes this disorder to mental health disorders, most commonly schizophrenia. We describe a patient with genetic behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia (FTD) who developed psychogenic polydipsia. We aim to educate the general public about other neurological causes of primary polydipsia.
