What is it about?
This review analysed all previous studies using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to examine brain iron and neuromelanin, a marker of dopamine function, in psychosis. Lower brain iron and higher neuromelanin were observed in psychosis, suggesting that iron metabolism and neuromelanin may represent potential targets for further investigation.
