What is it about?
A new study reports differential effects of psilocybin vs. escitalopram treatment on emotional brain function in individuals with major depressive disorder. Findings provide new evidence to suggest psilocybin and escitalopram may have unique and dissociable antidepressant mechanisms, which furthers knowledge of potential biological pathways toward overcoming depression.
