What is it about?
Between 2007 to 2021, we observed increasing trends of suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts among US high school students. Such increasing trends were shown in those who engaged in multiple high-risk behaviors as well as those with low-risk behaviors. In subgroup analyses, there was a disproportionately large increase in suicidal thoughts and attempts among students who used cigarettes or cannabis.
