What is it about?
Some children face challenges in mental health and thinking skills due to genetic differences. This study analyzed genetic changes called copy number variants (CNVs) in over 11,000 children to understand their impact. We found that CNVs were linked to attention problems and difficulties in memory and problem-solving. Children with CNVs tied to neurodevelopmental disorders showed more severe challenges. These findings could help identify children at risk and guide future research into better interventions.
