Involving Parents in Child Mental Health Treatments: Survey of Clinician Practices and Variables in Decision Making

What is it about?

This survey, of mostly CBT child clinicians, looked at differential use of parent involvement (PI) with common childhood disorders; that is differences between: Oppositional Defiant/Conduct, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD and Trauma/PTSD diagnoses. The author also explored child, parent and clinician variables endorsed as important in PI decisions by the child therapists.
