What is it about?
This paper describes elements of personal recovery among people at risk of developing several mental health problems. Elements of recovery include developing an understanding of, and finding ways to cope with, one’s at-risk state; re-establishing a sense of agency and personhood; receiving support from people and services; re-establishing hope, meaning and purpose; overcoming stigma and destigmatizing mental illness in others.
