What is it about?
This study found worse hearing and higher rates of undiagnosed hearing loss in a sample of community-dwelling adults with a history of schizophrenia compared to same-aged comparison participants. While hearing loss is a treatable source of potential disability, detection of such impairment among adults with a schizophrenia diagnosis may be an unmet need.
