What is it about?
In this paper, experienced behavioral health leaders describe a snapshot of system impacts of the novel Coronavirus on the public behavioral health system and the people who receive services from it. Such impacts are wide ranging, from clinical approaches of telepractice to complex financing, and have caused many programs and services including community-based, state hospitals, and correctional systems to pivot toward reducing viral spread while supporting persons with mental health, developmental disabilities and substance use disorder service needs.
