What is it about?
This study reviewed research on whether noninvasive brain stimulation treatments can reduce suicidal thoughts across different mental health conditions and age groups. The results suggest that brain stimulation may help reduce suicidal thoughts when used in specific ways—especially alongside medication—but more research is needed, particularly in people who are suicidal at the start of treatment and in diagnoses beyond depression.
