What is it about?
This review describes how structural biases in psychiatric research training and funding institutions have led to a persistent, and actually worsening, under-representation of minoritized researchers at all career levels. We review the complex, multi-factorial, and self-reinforcing nature of these structural biases. We then describe approaches to reverse those biases, many of which could be implemented with resources already available.
