Parametric iteration method is an iterative scheme to solve singular Volterra integral equations of Abel type

Why is it important?

We reconstruct the variational iteration method that we call, parametric iteration method (PIM) to solve second kind weakly singular Volterra integral equations of Abel type. Convergence analysis of the proposed method is studied. The solution process is illustrated by some tested examples. Comparisons are made between PIM and exact solution. The results show the simplicity and efficiency of PIM.
