What is it about?
RAGE mediates lung disease that can occur one month after a single, high-intensity exposure to World Trade Center particulate matter. Lack of RAGE could limit the extent of cellular injury, inflammation, and remodeling in a mouse model. Further work is needed to investigate how lack of RAGE can decrease lung injury and inflammation.
