What is it about?

Endothelial cells have metabolic flexibility to maintain cell function. We show for the first time that hyperoxic exposure has long-term effects on lung endothelial cell apoptosis via lipid metabolism, and that enhancing fatty acid oxidation protects against hyperoxia-induced lung injury in neonatal mice.
