What is it about?

Influenza remains a major health problem worldwide. These studies demonstrate that platelets recruited into the lungs, interact with neutrophils to form neutrophil-platelet aggregates. This study also demonstrate that administration of a combination treatment using a drug that inhibit platelet activation together with an antiviral agent improves the survival in lethal-influenza infected mice.
