Why is it important?

Phong Nha-Ke Bang NP, located in the Northern Annamites (Truong Son Mountains) of central Vietnam, is recognised as one of the country’s most significant protected areas in terms of herpetofaunal diversity. Numerous studies have emphasised the remarkable species richness and high level of endemism among amphibians and reptiles inhabiting this karst-dominated landscape. Karst mountains are in danger of being destroyed for industrial needs. So we have to show and describe the diversity of these places

Perspectives

Another step to entangle the difficult Lycodon fasciatus complex. And by thew way a nother step to show how important these low elevation rainforests and carst mountains are
