What is it about?
Crabs are generally aggressive. Nobody would ever think of the calm or peaceful behaviour of this freshwater crab. Finally, it is formally described and has its new scientific name, Aradhya placida. These crabs are mostly active during monsoon season.

This is for the first time in India, a peaceful crab is discovered. This crab, Aradhya placida, is endemic to the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India.
