Lectotypification and a new synonym for Strobilanthes pulneyensis C.B. Clarke (Acanthaceae)

What is it about?

The name Strobilanthes pulneyensis C.B. Clarke is lectotypified and the recently described new species S. orbiculata Thomas, Mani & Britto is treated here as its synonym. In addition the name, Strobilanthes circarensis Gamble, another synonym of Strobilanthes pulneyensis, is lectotypified.
