What is it about?
We analyzed critically ill adults with sepsis or septic shock enrolled in a trial comparing balanced crystalloids to saline, and found that in-hospital mortality was lower with balanced crystalloids compared to saline. These findings suggest that balanced crystalloids may be more effective resuscitation fluids than saline for sepsis.
