What is it about?

High-dose aspirin therapy is the only targeted therapy available for aspirin-exacerbated respiratory (AERD),the clinical triad of asthma, nasal polyps and respiratory reactions to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin and ibuprofen. We show that aspirin therapy in AERD does not correct the baseline increase in mast cell activation and leukotriene production.
