Mediation Analysis of High Blood Pressure Targets, Arrhythmias, and Shock Mortality

What is it about?

Whether new-onset supra-ventricular arrhythmias lie on pathways that mediate poor outcomes during shock is unclear. Using causal mediation analysis, we identified that arrhythmias acted to both mediate and potentiate the effect of higher blood pressure targets on persistent organ dysfunction and death during shock.
