What is it about?

This volume is devoted to studies of Old Frisian language, literature and (cultural) history, the sum of which is encapsulated in the time-honoured term 'philology'.

Why is it important?

What makes this volume special is that it brings together a group of both beginning and established scholars from Europe and North America. Such a company creates an opportunity for a great deal of dialogue from which Old Frisian studies will surely profit, but which is also bound to effect adjacent disciplines.

Perspectives

I personally like the wonderful mix of subjects and the enthusiasm and engagement which their authors display in their contributions.
