What is it about?
The paper looks at the attempts of different Syriac groups (Miaphysites and Church of the East) to to convert Arabs serving in the Sasanian Empire to their own religious affiliation. It demonstrates that, even during the Roman–Sasanian War at the beginning of the sixth century, people crossed the border on either side to discuss dogmatic issues, while military troops and the royal Sasanian court were waging war in the Roman Empire.
