Why is it important?

This study is important because it links charismatic celebration with the church as God’s household in order to show how Spirit-shaped hospitality brings people into deeper connection with God and each another. In this way, the sacraments become moments of renewal, transformation, and shared participation in the life of the Spirit.

Perspectives

While practices such as anamnesis and epiclesis are not often associated with a Pentecostal view of the Lord's Supper and the sacraments, this article brings a wide range of ecclesial traditions and perspectives together to form a Pentecostal view of sacramental action and participation in the church gathering. I hope you enjoy the article and that it provides you with a fresh perspective of what participation in the sacraments can look like.
