What is it about?

This volume has two primary objectives: the first is to present current underrepresented methodological approaches in Hagiography; the second is to critically address the category of sanctity, exploring its variability over time and space, and the scholarly reflection on it.

Why is it important?

This does not seek to reject the established perspectives or to add unnecessary complexity to a discipline already recognised for its diversity and depth. Instead, it aims to demonstrate that interdisciplinarity and critical reflection can foster a richer understanding of the subject.
