What is it about?
The V4 countries are currently implementing strategic policies to advance e-government in a number of public areas, including cybersecurity, e-education, e-health, and crucially, e-administration. However, these countries differ in the degree of implementation of these technologies. We intended to answer the question of how the evolution of public e-services informed the recent revision of the public administration code of conduct in the V4.

Why is it important?
The development of new technologies, including greater service customisation, had a profound impact on public administration and the services provided by it. Following a period of experiments, successes, and failures, the V4 countries have now made progress not only in building cross-institutional platforms for citizens and adopting data-driven policies, but also in horizontal and vertical integration of all government services.
Perspectives
