What is it about?
Vitaliano VI Borromeo loved to surround himself with friends and scholars to discuss ethics and morals, walking in the gardens of his island. A spectacular baroque setting, which amazed and invited to further studies, in the union between art and nature that he had created there.

Why is it important?
The study offers a new perspective on the creation of the Isola Bella gardens. Through the reading of documents from the archive and the correspondence of Vitaliano VI Borromeo, the work attempts to reconstruct the philosophical bases that guided him in the creation of the gardens and the statues that animate them.
Perspectives
It was a great pleasure to write this article and think about such a fascinating topic as that of academies and gardens. I believe that I will return to this topic in the future with further insights.
