Why is it important?
This is an unprecedented discussion of an area of art and art scholarship that has been ignored or even eschewed or its existence denied even as the productivitiy of Jews within the visual arts has slwoly exploded i nthe last two hundred years.
Perspectives
What makes this subject particularly intriguing is the challenge that it offers with regard to the very idea of "definition" and howslowly otherwise accimplished intellects have been to recognize and meet that challlenge.
