What is it about?
A thorough review of quotations and allusions to the Septuagint in 1Thess and Phil shows that the differences of the use of the OT in these letters can be quite well explained with the different situations in the communities: The Thessalonians have not yet become familiar with the Septuagint, whereas the Philippians (or some of them) know the Bible quite well. The latter is due to their longer history as Christ-believers.
