What is it about?

This is the third chapter of my monograph, _In Good Company: The Body and Divinization in the Thought of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, SJ and Daoist Xiao Yingsou_. It introduces Daoist models of the body, as well as the practice of internal alchemy. This presentation prepares the reader for a closer look at the theology of XIao in the next chapter.

Why is it important?

This book reimagines the resurrected body in such a way as to increase appreciation for our physical bodies in the present life. It gives a renewed view of the body that amplifies the spiritual significance of body, creation, and physicality.

Perspectives

This is my initial attempt to articulate the intuitions I've gained from a comparative reading of Daoism and Christianity that answers many of my own questions of faith.
