What is it about?

This is the second chapter to my monograph, _In Good Company: The Body and Divinization in the Thought of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, SJ and Daoist Xiao Yingsou_. It introduces readers to the thought of Teilhard de Chardin, especially in his _The Human Phenomenon_ and _The Divine Milieu_. This introduction is written in a way so as to get the reader to understand how far Teilhard got with his vision of the body. From extant records, he thought about it, but did not develop his theory much.

Why is it important?

This book reimagines the resurrected body in such a way as to increase appreciation for our physical bodies in the present life. It gives a renewed view of the body that amplifies the spiritual significance of body, creation, and physicality.

Perspectives

This is my initial attempt to articulate the intuitions I've gained from a comparative reading of Daoism and Christianity that answers many of my own questions of faith.
