Why is it important?

While there has been significant study of Jewish people in America, there has been little analysis of the role of sport in the acculturation and assimilation process. This study attempts to rectify that lapse.

Perspectives

This study offers a valuable comparison with other ethnic and religious groups who encountered similar obstacles to Americanization.
