International Buddhist Studies have gained global prominence as both academic discipline and a cultural bridge, as there are growing interest in Buddhism, not just as a religious study but also as a subject of academic inquiry, spiritual development, wellness economy, and interfaith dialogue. To align with these international trends, Buddhist Universities in Myanmar are endeavoring to modernize their educational practices. Many are also trying to strengthen their pedagogical capacity by promoting international exchanges and scholarship programs while fostering critical thinking, research skills, and digital literacy among their students.
