What is it about?

Wooden carvings located at the European museums can lead us, hand to hand with indigenous communities, in a better taxonomic identification of tropical woods. Above all, wooden carving are in their essence a piece of tree, but also a piece o history and symbol of identity. These wooden carvings offer the possibilitie of carry out multidisciplinary studies to better understand the human-tree interactions both in the past and in the present.
