What is it about?
There have been claims that Literature cannot produce Historical facts of a particular society. The article draws a relationship between literature and history and provides examples of how literature can produce historical facts of African societies. Thus, the article provides an alternative to the current debates on the relationship between literature and history

History and literature though are different disciplines, they complement each other
Perspectives
Writing this article was very interesting because it gave me an opportunity to survey two different but interrelated disciplines, history and literature. Also, it gave me a new strand that harmonizes the current debate on relationship between history and literature
