This paper proposes an analytical framework that utilizes a hegemonic approach to political transformations. The hegemony approach, drawing inspiration from the works of Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe, provides political theorists and scientists with conceptual tools for analyzing power struggles over a political community's founding norms and values.The Justice and Development Party led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Turkey serves as a unique case study to illustrate this approach.
