What is it about?

The Dong Son culture of the pre-Qin period in the Red River Delta is shown to be a predominantly Vietic-speaking (i.e. the ancestral language of Vietnamese and other related languages). The supporting evidence includes archaeological (material culture, genetics, and cranial and dental typology) and historical linguistic (lexical data, historical phonology, and ethnonyms and place names).
