What is it about?
Within the framework of the changes that happened during the pandemic and within the education context that had been going on in our country in the last years concerning educational inclusion and secondary school completion, inequalities appear with new aspects to debate about youth and education in the present young generations. With this idea, the article presents past, present and future debates about the youth opportunities and aspects that have been recorded during the longitudinal research carried out in the last twenty years with different youth cohorts. Moreover, it presents the findings of an on-going research about young population and secondary education in different areas of Argentina. The main objective is to debate the aspects and contexts that occurred and caused the inequalities in youth transitions. The core hypothesis of the article is that the processes and effects of inequality in each of the generations being studied are explained and described both within the circumstances and junctures in which the youth trajectories occur and under the main role and effect that the immediate environment has on them.
